Might just be me, but I don't easily recognize those as tulips. Interesting from a geometry point of view, though.

I like these angles and the effect you have in these. I would agree though that the sharpness is letting you down a bit, as is the depth of field. I would be tempted to boost depth of field (lower f number) though a good sharp shot with a fine depth on the stoma might work very well
