Brightening the borders

In this Bank Holiday weather (f.2.8 at 800ASA gloom) the Poppies look like a patch of neon lights glowing in the border, set off against delphiniums and rain lashed lupins.

Makes a change from our feathered friends!

Tidied up since this was taken as the forget-me-nots have finished. Foxgloves coming out and amazingly one helibore insists on remaining in flower - too wet still today to go and inspect the damage from the weekend weather!
