I rather like it, although the treatment seems more pronounced on the upper part of the image, while the boat seems quite "real".

The boat is a bit under-done, isn't it?
I'll have to go in tomorrow and layer mask and intensify it, but the wake of the boat is where I want it. I'm going to bed;. EDIT: First post now has the new edit, I pretty much completely re-did it, including the full crop from the image instead of a piece of it. Last edited by reg; 08-30-2008 at 01:34 PM. |

Like this one a lot better reg, I think you've nailed it; could you take us through the steps for this?

yeah, pretty impressive technique. Even it doesn't look like a picture anymore. It's more like a paint

Very nice.....Suggestion: crop a bit more of the foreground water, the eye seems to flow with the shot better.

I would also be interesting to know if there was a tutorial somewhere that we could follow. Great job looks fantastic.

It looks to me like Topaz Vivacity, which is a plugin for Photoshop. You can find it here: Topaz Vivacity for Photoshop @ Reg - Very, very nice! It really saved that shot. Print it and hang it!

Thats a really neat plug-in. Thank you for posting it. Here's something I threw together after reading the user guide.
