New guy needs direction

Hi everyone, I'm looking to buy a canon 100mm macro for my dg Rebel xti. Who's a reputable online dealer? I'm not sure who to trust. I just got hosed recently by Soniccameras.com so I am a little "camera shy". Thanks, Albie

Welcome to the forum.

Check www.resellerratings.com for the reputation of on-line retailers.

Two of the biggest camera stores in North America (probably the world) are B&H and Adorama. Both are very good and you shouldn't have a problem with them. There are rotating links at the top/right of the page. You will find both B&H & Adorama there (if not, refresh or click a different page in the forum).

I've used B&H many times and I fully recommend them.

Another options is to buy your gear locally.

Thanks guys! Yeah that resellerratings is where I found out about Sonic, unfortunately it was after I had did buisness with them. I did alot of research on the lens' just not where to buy from.

I had heard from others also that those two stores were probably the best (again after my expeariance) So thats where I'm headin'. By the way this looks like a really cool site with gobs of information and cool people so I'm excited about learnin more also. Thanks again, Albie

Try Adorama and B&H. They're much better than Sonic-whatever.

Yeah I'm gonna go through B&H, Adorama is sold out at the moment. Yeah Soniccameras is a total ripoff. You guys should read their reviews over at resellerratings and make sure nobody ever buys from them.
