Ah! So different from what I had expected from the title alone! Though, sure enough these are stairs, so why would it be so different? I expected stairs as seen from the side, I guess, and not in seemingly one plane (2-d rendition!) areas of changing textures. Good approach. The decision for b&w, had it been taken before you took the photo, or is this a conversion?

I shot it in RAW, but it was meant to be a B&W photo from the beginning. Just didn't seem to be as interesting in colour when I imagined it, and after the PP, I'm happy to see I was right. The textures just seem so right for B&W.

A few strong highlight leaves but certainly not to the point of being detrimental.
I very much like the variety of texture and tone, and the vignette you have chosen works well here.
A very good image that captures and holds interest.
Good work.

I like the contrast, but the burned highlights might be a bit distracting. Neat pic, though.
