never would have thought it...

tim burton's upcoming 'corpse bride' was shot using canon's 1dMkII and nikon glass. check it out:

That's pretty cool. I will have to go see that movie...just to see what a movie shot with a 1D II looks like. Although, Nikon glass on a Canon...it's just unnatural.

haha yeah. they had to manually expose and focus every shot. that's crazy.

Yea, its really a shame to mess up all that good glass, isn't it. And just think, they could have waited a few months, bought D2X's, saved 3K per camera and wound up with a better flick.

Sounds like someone is trying to turn this thread into a Canon vs. Nikon fight ....and not being too subtle about it either

i do believe that my friend jstuedle is mistaken. they used 1dmkII bodies, not 1dsMkII bodies. so the ones they used are actually cheaper than the d2x bodies. besides, they filmed it when the D2H had just come out...which was a while ago.
