quick and dirty home made snoot for your flash

I cobbled together a snoot to use over one of my flashes. Normally you wouldn't use this on your on- camera flash like I did in these shots. I plan on using it off-camera for some interesting portraits and interior work.

    flash set to stun.

    snoot in place.

Fun foam I bought at an arts and craft store along with some velcro to hold it together.

I've also added velcro to my flash head to hold it in place.

I also use cardboard from a cerial box and if you want a tighter spot pack it with drinking straws for a honeycomb snoot.

A honeycomb snoot? lol! What would you use that for?
Browse my photos on Flickr, if you like.

Currently a Pentaxian. Favourite lens: 100mm f2.8 Macro. I now have all the lenses I need. On to lusting over lenses I want.

I also use a piece of foam like that for a snoot. I had it left over when I built a flash deflector.

Adding a 'honeycomb' would constrain the beam even further.

You and I must think alike. I was also building a flash deflector with the other piece of foam.
