Setting up a product shot with watches

Anyone know how to set this up? This was the example sent to me and I can't figure out they got the shape of the band and be able to see through it. Any suggestions will really help!
    Thanks!

It could have been photographed on its side on a white or translucent surface, had any shadows removed and then rotated 90 degrees.

you can get clear string and hang it...but I think Chris may be correct on how that one was done.
Also, put your own spin on it. Don't give them what they already have, you know?
You are obviously good, otherwise you wouldn't be doing it.
    good luck.
Some day my prints will come.
