Ive got a 35-100mm lense that seems to be loose.
If I have the camera pointed downward or upward the lense slides down or up resulting in lose of focus.
Is there any known way of tightening up a zoom lense?

If its a push pull zoom system I believe those lenses are just like that.

Hmm... That lens needs an adjustment. No zoom lens should do that if pointed up or down. I would contact a camera repair shop and ask them about tightening one of the inner rings/seals.Originally Posted by rmphoto
How old is this lens. I have a Sigma for 87 that does this. Final replaced it about 8 years ago.

thats just the way those lenses end up. The more you use them the looser they get. A repair shop could referbish it but not sure if it would be worth it.
not sure how old it is... it looks fairly new.
so is there no home fixes anyone knows about?
BLU TACK, may not be a permanent fix but hey, it does the job.
Btw - rmphoto, ur website has some brilliant photos on, good job

actually ive been using a piece of tape to keep it set... but it gets annoying having to readjust it always.Originally Posted by will965
