    Universal Flashes?

    Hi,

I've been looking into getting a new flash. I saw one on eBay, which looked pretty legit. It was a brand new Nikon, with all the fancy doo-da's. I was wondering if it would be able to connect to my old Olympus OM-1? I'm pretty sure it's wireless, too, would that be able to work with my old OM-1?

It will work but you won't get any of the fancy TTL doo-dah's. The OM1 has just a basic 2 pin hotshoe. That is, if you have a hotshoe. My OM1 came without one and I had to buy one as an atachment. OM1's also have a flash cable socket - on the right hand side of the lens as you look from the front.

Don't just say nothing - say 'bokeh'!
