    Gray Card

    Ok, so Im finally going to use one for WB but for the love of it, HOW in the world do you use it??

    Well, if you shoot raw, you can put the card somewhere in a test shot and when you process your raw image, most software will let you pick on the grey card to set the WB. All other photos with the same lighting can use the same WB setting and you can usually apply this to a whole group of images in bulk.

    Meter the grey card. Mark down the reading. Now, anything that you meter in the scene will be rendered with the same reflectance as the grey card (a middle tone).

    I recommend a white balance cap, much easier and better IMO

    I paid only £5 for mines!
    There is wb caps for £40 and stuff...
    but they all do the same job...
    Recuva - Lost files? get them back easily and for free!

    to use it simply have someone hold card under the lighting situation.....set camera to custom which then you get in and take a picture of the card, the camera processes it and stores it.
