Maybe post an example and tell us what you do not like. I am sure someone here maybe able to offer some tips on what to improve. From what I read from others, lighting is quite important.

Dao is right photography is all about the use and manipulation of light. Under the right lighting a moldy piece of cheese can look appetizing.

First you need to use a plastic like material when printing. Then fold it up similar to a balloon, then keep blowing till.... POP you're done. Pop is a pretty subjective term, similar to asking how do I make an image awesome? I would find an example of what you are trying to achieve and then post your photo and I'm sure someone will be able to point you in the right direction.

Like others have said, post some examples. Already I'm thinking you have your iso and f-stop wrong. Maybe using the wrong lighting. Get some images up and someone here will help you out

Proper exposure, levels adjustment, contrast adjustment.
Take the photo in good light to begin with.

It's a common problem first starting out. You need to have a good exposure first and foremost. Then you need to know how to post process that exposure. Usually it's a combination of the contrast, setting the black level and adjusting the curve to satisfy your style.
Ignore the snarky stuff, they are always having an inside joke and you'll come to laugh at them sooner or later.
We REALLY need to see what you are getting and maybe a link to what you'd like to be getting in order to give you any real and effective help.
