I need help with new posing ideas. Do you have any recommended reading or articles that may help?

search around online for pictures that you really like and try to copy them

There are books available on posing, but when I have a fashion or similar shoot, I normally start as "DeepSpring" suggests and get some tear sheets from magazines, then work from there.

Good advice above. The other thing I would suggest is try it and see, and just becasue you made someone move in to a certain position doesn't mean you HAVE to take a picture. Many a time in a studio I've gone through the run of "..now arm a little lower...stretch that leg out...chin up... eyes to me....hold it....nope, that looks crap, relax and we'll start again"

Don't ever feel like a copycat, remember the expression "there is nothing new under the sun" One of the best way to learn something is to do what someone else has done that works. I have been shooting for nearly 50 years, and even now I search through magazines for ideas. Those ideas will then stay in your mind for the future and will stand you in good stead.
