    Photo to documents

    hi! My friend asked me tro do (or "try") taking some shots of her. But she doesn't want artsy portraits but photos to documents. I've already organised the background... it is slightly "greenish", I also organised a small halogen lamp to make this background a bit shadowed. But I don't know what to do with a normal lightning... I mean how to light her! I have a simple built-in flash, that is quite strong (I have fuji s5000). Is it enough? And what are the rules of taking photos to documents? I know that left ear should be visible, without any earrings etc...

    My ear isn't visible, and I don't have any earrings
    A bit off topic: Are there any rules that forbid B&W in document photos?

    As in passports?

    I dunno about everywhere else... But our passport rules are basically...

    * have to see both ears
    * looking directly at the camera
    * you can smile - but not allowed to show any teeth.
    * on plain white background
    * person takes about 70-80 % of the photo...

    Hope that helps...
