    i dont like that the fence is in focus and the horse is not in the first shot. and the highlights are blown out.

    (is highlights the right word?)

    Humm........I kinda like how the fence is in focus and the sun is backlighting the slightly out of focus animal.

    i love all three. i really like the out of focus light from the sun, it gives an ethereal look to the horse. and if i analyze a step further, i don't know if the right word is irony, but i think it's interesting that this ethereal thing is trapped behind the in-focus gate.

    i'll have to show these to my niece... no doubt the response will be a long drawn out "awwwwww"
