i'd say the first, simply because there is more color in the sky. it looks too white in the second for me. other than that, i don't see any differences really.

Thanks. I agree about the sky; I was afraid I may have increased contrast a little too much in the other one.

I vote for the in between.
To be honest I wasn't sure whether it was contrast or if one is just darker than the other. I like #2 better but since it looks like an overcast day it could stand to be the slightest bit darker and that might be enough to bring down the areas that are just a bit to light in the roadway.
If not, just burn them in a bit also.
