jeepers creepers

I used a doll that my grandmom had given to my mom when she found out she was pregnant with me. Although she means a lot to me, she creeps me out so I keep her on top of my shelf turned around. To play off of the fact that this is the creepiest doll in my room, I placed her behind curtains as if she were watching me sleep, plotting her next move. And I also decided to duct tape her mouth as if she were a young child being kidnapped when the kidnapper sends a creepy picture back to the family asking for a ransom.

These are so creepy!! I love how they have a really antique feel and how they all have something being covered up, giving the pictures a mysterious quality. I like the diffuse lighting in the first and third pictures. Maybe the last one could have been a tiny bit more in focus? I think it looks good soft, but just the slightest bit more focus may enhance the picture.

your second picture is really creepy. The idea of a doll is perfect. Maybe lighten the bottom right a little though; might show more details in the tape.

Good job though, i really liked them.

    hahaha
    okay
so FIRSTLY, this will be my little side comment
the last picure actually gave me chills.
As evie said, I really enjoy the dfifused lighting in the last one. I see an interesting contrast between the first and the last one. The first one looks "antique." The last one, has a bit of a contemporary look. So it almost feels as though, the doll lives on. Theres a really interesting story that I get out of this series of pictures, before I read your "story" that you wanted to convey. I saw it as the doll doing mischevioius things in the beginning in a time long ago, then she dies (2nd picture), and then comes back to life in the contemporary age. Anyway, I love these ....wonderful!

These really do the job! Aside from the sharpness being different in these (focus is critical) dolls, in general, creep me out and what you have done with this one magnifies my feeling. Decide how you want to light for your series and then keep it consistent. I can see it go either way but choose.
