Reason for selling: Thought I would get more into infrared photography than I did. The camera hardly gets any use and it deserves better!

I purchased this camera and had it converted to infrared thinking I’d be getting much more into IR photography, but unfortunately it hasn’t been used much. Mostly just sitting around in the bag. I used Lifepixel to convert the camera and chose their ‘standard IR’ filter (720nm).
I’m including the LCDVF view finder as it comes in very handy when focusing in infrared. Infrared focuses at a different point than visible light and so using the normal AF system, especially with a large aperture will occasionally give you wonky results. However, if you use the LCDVF and the live view function on the camera you’ll get tack sharp images in the IR spectrum every time.
I’m selling it for $900 because of all the extras (LCDVF, batteries, grip) and the infrared conversion ($400 value alone). So this is really a great deal and a fantastic camera for someone looking into infrared photography.
    Thanks for looking!
