Here is my first attempt at using the clone feature... if I'm doing anything that isn't right, let me know. Working on the face was the hardest part. The little red spot on her forehead wasn't bad (mosquito bite) but trying to get the hair removed that had blown across her cheek and mouth was extremely hard.

Hi guys
I'm a computer animator that takes photos for inspiration, anatomical, and texture reference.

I'm looking for a batch photo editor where I can quickly add tags, write comments and idea notes (REALLY IMPORTANT), and organize the content of photos for the sake of being able to search for it when necessary later. I'd also like the ability to exclude search results or add requirements like multiple tags in a single search (for example, writing something broad like spikey when I really need reference for "spikey" and "plant" so I don't have to search through photos of porcupines and cave rocks).
I tried using EverNote but I could never get the damned thing to work properly and the added advantage of syncing between devices was never an incentive enough to deal with those frustrations.

A free program would be nice but I am willing to pay. Either is fine. What do you guys recommend for your photo work? Thank you for your reply in advance!

Hello,

After much deliberation i think i have decided on a camera body, Canon 650D. The part that i really want help with is peoples opinion which of the three lens choice I should go for. I would say that i am a complete beginner in photography, looking to do a really wide range of shots initially until i find a niche i really enjoy. I am going travelling in the summer so plan to take the camera an photograph old towns buildings, maybe some wildlife and sports. The following appear to be the lenses that are initially in my price range and come with a deal on eglobaldigitalstore.co.uk

Canon EOS 650D kit with 18-55mm IS II Lens - £400

Canon EOS 650D Twin kit with 18-55 IS II and 55-250mm IS II Lens - £500

Canon EOS 650D kit with 18-135mm IS STM - £560

Also if people have ideas about memory cards, is there really any difference in the ones costing over £50 and the cheaper ones? I do not really care about time it takes to load to a computer to be honest if this is the real difference, also what size do people recommend for a beginner, is bigger always better??

Cheers for any help

Hello all,
I hope everyone is well. I finally opened my 4 flashpoint 320m's, I am looking to use the four 320m's in a shoot this week, one as the main, one as the fill and two directed to the backdrop.

I have used off camera flashes so this is my first time, I don't want to burn my condo to the ground so my question is, how many of these flashpoint 320m's can I hook to the same extension cord/outlet?

I have wall a/c all over the condo, so if there is a hair dryer feeding from the same breaker as one of the AC's the breaker will go off.

my plan is to pick a breaker that doesn't have an AC connected to it.

So the main question is, if I have four of these guys firing at the same time, can I hook them up to the same outlet(extension cord) or do I split them in two outlets or one per outlet?

sorry if this is a dumb question, I have no experience using monolights, I would assume since these also can feed from a battery the drain cant be that great.

thank you for you assistance.

With anything I do whether it is for fun or investing my profession, I try to do things the right way. When I slowly got into this hobby mind everyone I have an analytic/technical mindset. The creative portion is pretty much in idle, and I have been trying to grasp the Exposure Triangle before I start "seeing" the photograph.

I want to touch base with everyone that regardless your disposition on this hobby/profession, I give a lot of respect for people's hard work, hence why I feel I can't judge other people's work, it's just not fair. Most of the time I don't ask questions, because someone else had/has already asked it or I search the almighty Googles, and Youtubes(thank you Mark Wallace). But I feel with time permitted I am at least putting some reasonable effort when I take photographs of various fields of photography.

So without further whining here are a couple of pictures I have taken this afternoon. Are they interesting? Not in the slightest, but I was mainly concentrating on the triangle and WB. Listen, be honest, be brutal, be vicious and tear it down I'm too damn old to crying or holding someones hand for comfort. The main point of this topic in a nutshell, is there hope for me to continue this hobby, or should I take my equipment to the backyard and give it an honorable death? Thanks in advance for everyone's input.

The candle is supposed to be the main subject. The WB was preset to sunny for some reason as I meant to it to place it on incandescent.

Size: 148.4 KB">Candle1.jpg

Candle 2. was taken with a custom WB I used an 18% gray card(again thank you Mark Wallace).

Just wanted to say hi and introduce myself, Im a wife, mother of 3 Im 26 and work full time as a auto assembler. I have always loved cameras even as a small child and I love taking photos and the art of photography! Recently I've been having the thought of taking photography more seriously Im not sure how far I will go with it but I do hope to become a professional one day. I just ordered my first DSRL camera I got the Nikon d5100 just from reading reviews on here and searching online, I figured this would be the best choice for me as a beginner as I looked at the d3200. I hope I made the right choice, I'm also considering on taking some online courses and going to get a few books on photography. I love to set goals and my goal for this is to be able to call myself a pro photographer in at least 2.5-3 yrs with of course a better camera and my own business. I can't wait to get started on this new journey and hope you all can help me along the way.

I have used my second hand camera for the first time today and when I take photographs using my 70-300mm lens I have squiggly lines in the same places on all of my photographs, but when shooting with my prime lens there isn't any? I done the white paper test after searching online for help and the lines appear when using both lenses?? I have attached some photographs to show what I mean, i really do hope someone can help because quite a few of my photographs are spoilt now and would like to get this fixed asap. The picture of my son was taken using my 1.8/50 SAM lens.

I am not a beginner photographer, but I have a beginner question. I have a 5D MKII. I think its about 4 years old? How often (and where) should I have it professionally cleaned? Do they need tune ups? I feel like I am getting lesser results, especially in low light situations.

I am going to try again with fill flash and maybe underexpose a couple of stops (exposure correction?), but thought I would check here first for suggestions.

I have ordered a better flash and am patiently waiting for it to arrive.
