    Who is the founder?

    Just out of curiosity. Who's the founder of TPF and is that person still running it? Who gets the money when I subscribe to be a supporting member?

    Chase is the founder and original owner of TPF. He eventually sold the site to our current owners. Typically money from subscribers goes straight back to the forum: licensure, upgrades, etc.

    Chase got busy with life and family, so when TPF grew so large and started taking so much time, he thought it best to bow out. He started it on a home server in his living room back in 2003. When I joined there were about 500 members here. Different times.
