Business of photography forum?

I don't know if this would be a good idea or not - or even if this fits into one of the other forums. But, I thought it might be nice to have a forum dedicated to the business of photography (the selling of photos digital and print) for those of us that do sell our photos (don't know how many there are). I know from my own efforts that the photography business and market is different from many other businesses in that (like other art forms), you have to reach just the right customer - especially if you're selling directly to consumers - one that really appreciates art. And - also from my own experiences, reaching the ideal customer can be very hard in certain or small communities. I thought a dedicated forum would allow us to talk about the matters pertinent to selling photographs and meet others like us (that I think could really be beneficial and allow us to work together better with other members that are facing some of the same things we are).... just an idea - Thanks for your time!

Hmmm...dunno...I'm thinking those would fall under the wedding/portrait and the general q&a sections.

Specific questions or challenges you are facing as a pro are usually addressed under the Portrait & Wedding Forum. I think we had a specific thread in there on "the business side" that was stickied at one time, but I may not be remembering that correctly.

Periodically these types of questions also come up in the general Q&A forum, but usually get the most views under the Portrait forum. The majority of our working pros tend to post there, so you should be able to get good feedback and suggestions.

I'm not certain an additional forum is indicated, but TPF continues to grow! We appreciate hearing these ideas.
