    Start hoarding your polaroid film...

Its been all over my RSS feeds today. Polaroid has announced they are phasing out their film division shutting down their factory's and will soon stop production all together. I guess this only leaves Fugifilm. Kinda sad considering my first camera as a child was an old Polaroid.

I'm sure another company will fill the niche market for the people who need Polaroids for medium and large format shooters.

I'm going to miss using my 600 for snapshots. Odd that the only camera that will probably continue working is my peel apart cameras since Fuji will hopefully continue production a while longer...

the polariod films to do hold up long after their shelve life has expired, unless you don't care about color shifts.

so hoarding may not be cost effective in the long term, unless your just playing around and don't care to re-create a specific effect.
