Minolta Maxxum 7000 curtain problems
I recently discovered my father's Maxxum 7000, and since I want to get into film, I wanted to use it. But the bad news is, it's shutter curtain has 3 of the groove where they should be. this makes it so that the curtain cannot open. How can I fit these "slats" back into their grooves?

It's not a realistic do-it-yourself repair. Would have to be done by a
repair tech which would likely cost more than finding another used
Maxxum camera body.

I've done it after sticking my big dumb thumb through the curtain on my 7000. I was able to get it back straight and working, but it was a very delicate job. You could give it a try, and fix it yourself the slats are pliable enough that if you go slow and easy, and don't bend them too much you might get them back into the groove. Can you take a photo of the curtain by any chance, so we can see what you're dealing with?

I fixed it. I had to re-align each of the slats, but it worked out.
