Light Problems

Hey all,

I've been using my dad's old 35mm film camera and recently about 70% of my pictures have a light/discolored bar running vertically across the film, and therefore prints. Just wanted to know if anyone had any ideas on how to help/fix this or if anyone has had similar problems.

I've got some of the pictures here, in case it helps determine the problem.

It looks like a sticky shutter, except that if that's what it was the bar would be black, not white.

Light leak (very bad one), maybe?

How old is the camera? The foam seals may be breaking down or completely gone...

Load some film and put some black electrical tape over the edges of the door before you take any pictures (you may have to waste a couple frames)... If that fixes it, it's definitely a light leak.

...Still not really sure about that though.
