Anyone know anything about this Flash Unit?

I got one when I bought a Nikon FE and would like to know if its worth keeping before I possibly waste a roll of film on it...

Yeah it's worth keeping. For no other reason than to blind attackers while shooting at night in bad neighborhoods.

(I'm actually serious. these guns produce a lot of light and at close distance would be effective to temporarily stun an attacker in a sticky situation)

Provided that you have manual power control that works properly, it should be fine. Let me know if you want to sell it. I don't have much money right now, but if in a month or so you decide you don't want it, send me a PM.
