    The Constant War

All pictures are from the 2008 motocross outdoor nationals. I don't have press passes so these were all taken battling the 50,000+ cell phone camera warriors. This is my first year with a DSLR and I'm really looking to improve so feedback is really appreciated.

    No.5 is the BEST!

if this is your first year, then I think you'll be a real professional photographer with your D-SLR!

I'm not much for motocross but you did a fine job with these.

These are very cool. 1st and 5th are my favorite, but all very nice. Really sharp, too. Very well done.

Thanks, I really appreciate that, I would be lying if I said that’s not my goal! Motocross has always been my passion and I had a few crashes late in the 07 season and ended up needed shoulder reconstruction and I tore the MCL in my knee. It’s not fun when you’re 15 and having reconstruction surgeries on your joints. Anyways when I was out for 6 months I borrowed my dads Panasonic point and shoot and tried it out at the local track. He ended up seeing the pictures and thought I had a really good eye, and 5 months later I was shooting with a D80. I put a lot of time into looking at the professional pictures, reading the forums, the manual, to where I had a pretty good understanding of everything. The races in the pictures were about 4 months after I got my camera so I’m really proud of them.

I just saw it as something to stay in the sport when I wasn’t able to ride. Now, I’ll almost pick shooting over riding some days.
