    too grey?

    hey guys, was just wnadering if you thought this was to grey, i tried adding contrast but it makes it look to fake and too pixilated

    anyway, here it is!!

    I think it could use some sharpening. It looks to have good contrast but it's too soft IMO.
    There's no correlation between creativity and equipment ownership. None. Zilch. Nada. Actually, as the artist gets more into his thing, and as he gets more successful, his number of tools tends to go down. He knows what works for him. Expending mental energy on stuff wastes time.

    I think the contrast looks okay; it's just full of gray subject matter. Definately needs to be sharper though.

    ok, ill give it a go!! if you wer using photoshop, would you use the sharpening where you di it manually, or would you use the filter 'sharpen edges'? im terrible with sharpening at the moment. :/

    Did you convert this from a color image, or is it a scanned black and white? If you used photoshop, try something other than desaturation - like the channel mixer (tick off the monochrome checkbox) or just take one of the red, green, or blue channels and discard the rest... this often looks nicer than just desaturation - the digital equivalent of using color filters on your lens in black and white photography.

    i cinverted in from a colour image, when i scanned it, it was RGB, then i went to modes and changed it to greyscale.
