    Osprey Nest

About a block from my house there is an osprey nest on top of a telephone pole. I stopped the other day after noticing that it was occupied and had to stand nearly in the middle of traffic to get an angle where the bird was in the frame.

    Thanks folks,
Sarasota county is a great place to be if you like birds, particularly this time of year. I shot this one with a D70, Nikkor 300mm f4 and 2x teleconverter. I despise teleconverters but can't afford a 600mm f4 at this point so it will have to do.
