Need opinion on 2 Abstract photos for contest

Hey guys, this is my first post here and i look forward to learning from all of you i have only been in Photography for about a week and a half now and i wanted to start entering the Gizmodo weekly Shooting Challenge. This weeks challenge is "Abstract" i was wondering if some of you could give me some feedback on these two shots. Im considering entering one but im not sure which i like more. Please note that these shots are unedited as that is one of the rules of the challenge. Any comments would be very helpful, im here to learn!! thanks in advance to everyone who takes a look.
