First try on Poster Making - C&C plz

    Hi all

As Nena, my friend, is a Zumba instructor and teach kids how to dance, I tried to help her
and make something for kids. I hope it worked. Below is my first try and I lack
all the experience in doing this so any comment is much appriciated. Thank you
    all.

You can see that it is photoshopped, this is something I see a lot on posters, but it puts a bad taste in my mouth. I am not saying you should change it, just my opinion.

I'm not sure why you chose that background considering the event, the colors, and her clothes.

The target demographic is obviously kids/teens, so I won't say much about her pose and choice of clothing (and rolling up her pant leg) because I don't know if that would attract kids.

There is a lack of information on the poster, such as when/where, which I assume you either plan on adding or have a reason for omitting.

I would try to take a picture of her teaching, even if she is just pretending to for the shot, in a natural setting to make it look more... natural.

I have no experience doing anything like this, so I could be completely off on everything I just wrote, but, there you go.

Theeph, thank you for you time and comments.

As it is my first try, I assume it has flows to shows it is photoshopped. But since you mention it, I kindly request you to tell me exactly made it look photoshoped?

I don't mean to be deffensive and just agrue but it seems I have to make some clarrifications:

-In regards of the background, I chose it because it is the only free one I found and I can manage to make her stand normally.
-The colors, clothing and the rolling up are all related to Zumba. The pose is a kids dance pose.
-The lack of information is because there aren't any now. I was just trying to make one that can be used later

I agree that taking an outdoor photo might be better, but I am trying to use photoshop on studio photos to be manipulated.

Honestly I would like to have more critiques and comments.

    Thanks

I think it's the feet, mostly. If you just look at her feet it looks as if she is floating. And your clarifications don't seem defensive, I'm glad you explained.

Thank you theeph. That is totally right, she is floating! I am trying to find tips for not to make her float but honestly found nothing yet.. If I find I will share the way here as it might help other people looking for that.
