    Favorite Pictures

    Hello Everybody,

Yup, another new guy to the forum and a new guy to photography itself. I don't have much experience in the field, but it's definately becoming a favorite past time of mine. I recent recieved a new Olympus C750 camera for Christmas which sparked the interest even more. The following are some the my favorite pictures I have taken so far with this camera. I hope you like!

Take a Wash D.C. night tour!
Iwa Jima from a not so familiar angle

Errie sight of the Korean War Memorial at night

    FDR Memorial Waterfall

Whish I had a tripod to get the full reflection of the Wash Monument

    Back to daytime

Green Grass and Wildlife on January 1st in D.C!

Very sharp picture of the White House

This is my first time posting, so I'm going to see if these pictures work, if so I'll continue on in another post!

What do ya know? It worked!

Hard to take a bad picture in this city! In the larger picture you can see a plane landing at Reagan National, like below.

    Plane and Monument outline

Air and Space Musuem Moon Lander

Getting creative with a lower shutter speed.

    Little closer to home...Wisconsin Sunset

    Another view

Not a great photo, just having fun with a 1st Curtain Flash

    Finally...One lazy cat

Hope you enjoyed. Any comments? Is there ways I could have made these pictures better?

    Thanks!

I really the top 3, the korean memorial looks spooky and the time exposure turned out really well for number 3, nice movement but the guy in the center looks quite sharp! No tripod used for that?
    cheers, thanks for sharing

Well, no tripod, but I did use a very low stone bench to set the camera on. Yeah, that guy in the orange must have been standing pretty darn still, it was a 1sec. exposure (I love that you can check that stuff afterwords with digital photos).

Very nice set indeed. DC is next on my list of vacation spots after Hawaii. Did you have any trouble getting hassled about taking pics? I've heard they're really getting anal about it these days.

Thanks! Nope, no hasseling at all, even with some sort of law enforcement everywhere you look. There was only two places in which I couldn't take pictures. One was of a Civil War Flag restoration project at the American History Musuem. The other was at the Haulocost Museum. If you need any info on places to stay or anything, let me know. Definately try to make the Grayline Night Tour. It costs $30 and picks you up at your hotel.
