Quick Survey for Working Pros
1. What do you shoot professionally?
2. Self-employed or hired? Part time or full time?
3. How did you get started and how long has it taken to get where you are now?
4. Would you say the more important aspect of doing photography professionally is your people skills or your artistic and technical skills?
5. Do you enjoy it? Any regrets or things you'd do differently?
Thank-you for taking the time

If you want to judge my credibility as a photographer, don't look at my post count, look at my photography:

1. Weddings / events
2. Part time self employment + full time none photography job
3. Started with a ancient 35mm and 5 years later here I am.
4. I would say artistic vision and technical knowledge. You can be a people person and totally suck.
5. I love it, I carry my gear everywhere just in case. My only regret is shooting my earlier digital work in JPEG**gets the chills**.

1. Mostly sports, but can shoot pretty much anything
2. Full time
3.Grew up in the business, and it has taken a lifetime to get where I am now.
4. Being consistant, produce high quality images on every shoot, people skills.
5. Enjoyed it more during the pre-digital days, regrets, way too many.

portraits
self, part time
started out shooting relatives weddings and senior pictures
8 years
people skills, and technical skills equally.
I enjoy it a lot more since I cut down to 2 weddings a year, portraits are a lot less time consuming, fun and profitable.
Nothing I can think of that I would do differently, it is a journey, had to go there to get here.

1. What do you shoot professionally?
Boudoir, glamour, weddings, portraits
2. Self-employed or hired? Part time or full time?
Self Employed Full Time
3. How did you get started and how long has it taken to get where you are now?
Bought a camera, worked my ass off, 3.5 years
4. Would you say the more important aspect of doing photography professionally is your people skills or your artistic and technical skills?
For me its a combo. Knowing what I am doing technically allows me to create what I want artistically. People skills are a must.
5. Do you enjoy it? Any regrets or things you'd do differently?
LOVE it. Wish that when I get overwhelmed I would just buckle down and get it done. Iève let a few jobs slide or had mistakes, and they still haunt me.
