Removing blured grass

I was wondering if it was possible to remove the blurred grass in this shot. I have had similar grass effects when I have shot from the ground level ( and just above) and would like to be able to get shots without the blurr getting in the way

I would suggest trying to first desaturate the green and then just doing a lot of cloning. But other folks might have more practical ideas.

Personally, I see nothing wrong with the grass there ... perhaps if you shot a bit lower, then it would be more obvious that the cat is sitting in the grass and so it would seem less distracting and just act as more of a setting.

If I had got any lower I would have had to cut the bottom off the camera - I will get on at the ducks not to eat the grass so short

As for desaturating and cloning - I will give it a try.

Taking Makavelli's edit, you can quite effectively heal-brush some fur over the grass now. Once you match the hues of the grass to the fur, it's fairly simple.

Just remember to use the healbrush on a new layer, and tell it to sample all layers.



It isn't perfect, but it's okay for a couple of minutes' work.
