In ACR, dropped the exposure to nothing and pretty much everything except saturation to max. Then adjusted exposure up and fill/saturation until it gave the desired effects.
In Photoshop, adjusted curves a bit and healed/cloned out bits (there were some blown out regions that needed work), then did a pass on a separate layer with a diffuse glow. Masked that in and faded it until I got it where I wanted it.
On another layer, did a fairly heavily feathered selection of the nose/eyes region and lightened it a bit, then did some additional layers where I masked out those sections and blended with multiplies as well as desaturated everything but the nose/face region.
Last bit was to do some work with the eyes to get them less hazy.
And finally, sharpen, etc.

Wow! I guess I still have a lot to learn LOL! I have been taking the online tutorials, but they never showed anything like that! Good job
