Work Colour Space

What work colour space should I be working in? Right now I'm using sRBG; an edit will look fine, but when I open it up in my viewer or upload it to the Internet it's over-saturated and much to warm.

Should I be working in a different work colour space if I'm editing to print than if I'm going to be posting them?

I tried reading some stuff on the Internet, only to get confused.

Practical advice needed.

Set your color settings in Photoshop to sRBG (sRGB IEC61966-2.1). Go to View - Proof set up - Custom. Set the custom settings to sRBG. Go to your monitor settings in your computer make sure the profile is sRGB. Your web images should now look the same as photoshop. You can go to "save for web" and use the "2up" feature to check and see if both images are the same. And you can also click "preview" on the bottom and photoshop will load the image into your browser and you can see how it will look on the interwebz.
