KEYWORDS & META TAGS!?!
does anyone know the deal on these things? i have a website created on vdeck and i cant figure out where im supposed to insert the meta tags. i cant figure out how to get keywords in the html. the web builder hase a meta tag generator but i cant figure where to put them, it says to put the between the </title> and </head> but im not seeing those either. can anyone help me?... please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

it's not hard to insert those manually if you want. just go to any web page, click View>Source, then copy and paste the Meta header lines and edit in your own words. But Meta tags won't do much for you in search engine optimization.

FlashSpeedo is partly correct. By themselves, metatags aren't rated very high. You need to combine them with document structure, proper title tags, content and others. Type "Search Engine Optimization" or "SEO article" into Google and see what comes up.

hey dirt, let me know if you still need some answers to META tags. I have done lots of WEB stuff over the years and would be glad to help you out. If you have a current site up, let me know and I will be happy to take a look and make some pointers.
