Looking for a free photo editing program.
I haven't been on this forum in ages due to being busy with other things, but now I am unemployed and have some time on my hands so i decided to come back and try again. I recently had a pretty good nude model but she has a lot of stretch marks and while i don't mind them very much i wanted to find a program to edit the photos and get rid of the stretch marks. She also wants me to do this so she can post some pictures on a dating site. *sigh* Well i don't have any money so i can't afford something like Photoshop or CS. does anyone know of a free program that is one the same level of PS or CS?

Yes Gimp is about the best, similar-ish to the earlier version of photoshop, also check out Faststone.

Well, if there really was a free program that was on the same level as PS or CS, then PS and CS would either be free or they'd close up shop.
That said, try either GIMP, or the software that came with your camera.Go forth and actuate!

Best of luck with finding the next opportunity.
Don't do what I did and actually spend more in the first month of unemployment than my average monthly expense employed.<exits stage left>

GIMP 2.7 is great, lots of available plugins. Only problem is development is slow because it's open source(the only open source program without snail development is Blender).

There are a LOT of things I'm not going to buy, because I simply can't afford them...don't see how that makes it okay to just TAKE them.
OP: I concur with the masses; Gimp.Last edited by KmH; 08-08-2012 at 05:45 PM. Reason: Quote advocating software piracy deleted

Download both GIMP and Photoscape. Photoscape lacks much of GIMP's functionality(it's a bit dumbed down) though you can batch edit in Photoscape and not GIMP. That's really Photoscape's only advantage.
