How do I do this technique?

Hi, I'm just wondering how I get the technique of a picture like this...

You know that whole grainy, deteriorating, dirty look? Like what's arounf the bottom of the picture? It looks like some sort of grain has been added or something.

Also how would you get an affect like these ones?

That similar sort of grainy, old, misty look?

Small images on my pc; it all looks photoshopped after initial set up. You could ask the seller about the doll.

As Terri said, the images are very small. It's hard for me to say what was done, as each picture has multiple things done to it. What exactly are you looking for tips on?


The first appears to have been dodged and burned a bit, and scratched up, most likely in photoshop.

Some of them look similar to what I've seen done on B&W film using double exposures.

First exposure is an old deteriorated or textured wall... something similar but not too busy that it distracts from the second exposure. The next exposure would be of the person or subject itself.

I'm just wondering how you get that whole deteriorating, grainy, rainy look? Like it's an old photograph or something.

I mean, obviously he's taken the picture and then messed with it. I'm just wondering, how he's done it. Like look at the stains in the dark area on the left, and the whole misty effect there is about it. How do you do that? I've tried in Photoshop, but without much luck.

So you're saying put a layer of a background/shape/pattern and layer it over the top of your picture in Photoshop or something? (Although I'm trying to get into it, I'm not very good with analog photography right now).

that looks like a "Sepia" efect to me ! I usualy add this With ACDC 7 is much simpler theam Photoshop

There are alot of actions that you can use in photoshop to get effects like this, i am on my work computer so I don't have the link handy, but some place on the actual adobe web page there is an "actions" section and if you sepend a long time looking through thte 32 some ot pages of effects you can find a few different types of "vintage" actions.
