ps beginner...question

im pretty much a novice with photoshop (elements). that said, can anyone help me figure out how to put multiple images together. i dont know what its called but i see it a lot, people have pictures with multiple images of themselves in the pics. can someone help me or point me to a thread that will help me do this?

The most important step is making sure to take the pictures correctly. Use a tripod and the same exposure for all of them. Then open them up in PS and combine them all to one document, in seperate layers. Add layer masks to each layer, and start at the top layer. Mask off everything but the person in each layer except the bottom. Voila. As long as there is a bit of room between where each person is in the frame, (nobody overlaps) you won't have to be exact with your masking. You can just come close and you should be fine.
