Hi all, Nothing seems to be happening with our "Group", so I thought I would give it a shot. I've never been involved in a "meet up" (that sounds weird), but I thought we might give it a try. I'm available on Sundays and Mondays (Saturdays after 4 pm). I'm pretty much open to meeting anywhere in the Chicago area. Sunrise, sunset, landscapes, street photos, what ever. Here's a couple of ideas on locations, let me know what you all think. 1. Morton Arboretum 2. Downtown (purdy much) anywhere. The Zoo? The Chicago River? The lakefront? 3. Starved Rock is great in the fall. How about the the last Sunday in June? June 28th. Comments? Dan
I'm good on Sunday's and Mondays too. Right now, the 28th looks good for me, but it would be after 12:00 noon. The city isn't "doin' it" for me though. I do like the Starved Rock idea. -Pete
i second the starved rock, i suggested that on the other thread but idk what happened to it. anyways, i'm free saturdays all day. sunday, most likely after 2pm OR from the morning until 4pm. -zandman
Im in Denver at the moment wont be back out there for a couple weeks. But if there are any group dates when I get back I will tag along
Ha, I'm right next to Starved Rock. Highly doubt June 28th works for me for a meetup for me, but don't let that keep you from scheduling one for that day.
I'm glad to see you all responding. Starved Rock is fine with me too. I guess we can only hope for good weather. I hope you all will be up for going back in the Fall. LOTS of colors.
lets make this happen, who will be the organizer? can't do it on the 28th either, (taste of chicago). maybe around july so it will be warmer?
If you guys are serious about doing a Starved Rock meetup, I'd suggest making a thread in the meetups forum, not here. A lot of people don't know about the groups, or rarely visit them. I've forgotten about it's existence for months at a time. And since I don't do much on this forum, you'll have to shoot me a PM to alert me to it. I go to school at IVCC, though, which is 5 minutes from Starved Rock . . . so it's just a matter of doing it when I'm not working.
