I like them very much, and as a Dad with a Camera I know these expressions well. Is there a funny colour on the side of the mouth in the first? Is it a reflection of the material? As for anything else, I am unsure - maybe lighten under the eyes in the second a little, but I get that the hat is there and causes shadow, and the hat is part of the shot. Beautiful eyes. My daughters have beautiful eyes too...in my photos the rest can be a mess as long as I got the eyes.
that mis colour around her lips is her beef-o-roni lunch stain. Much like kool-aid it stains and no amount of scrubbing would remove it.
Yes, they do have beautiful eyes, and your focus on them seems good to me. Quite the facial expressions you've captured, lol! side note: Bend the Light's daughter Ruby has just about the most gorgeous eyes I believe I've ever seen, except for my daddy's eyes. I wish you'd gotten the top of the hat in, on the second photo.
Sounds lovely - beef-o-roni.
Still not bad. The exposure looks good. Skin tones are real good. Technically speaking, the first shot is the better of the two.
nice!
Thank you everyone. I still hold my breath when I post for C&C, I know I still have a ton to learn but I'm still putting myself out there and I'm waiting for someone to tell me that I suck.
Stick around. No one bats a thousand.
I really like that first shot - the pose, the expression, the colours - everything just works
