The advantage of HDR
I took this photo in Versailles recently in HDR. I post processed it with Topaz to add some grain since I liked the more dramatic effect. But more importantly due to the high contrast of the area HDR was the only way here. The light and dark areas come out great in HDR. But do a search for "hallways in versailles" in Google images and you will notice that many photos not using HDR just come out wrong.
So no matter what people say about HDR, it's also a really wonderful tool!

Absolutely agree, anyone can hit a preset and make a picture look like cartoon and give HDR a bad name but not many people actually use it for the great tool that it is. If done well it will capture the same amount of detail that a human eye would if i was standing there.
