Been spending a lot of time on here!
Fog under the Bridge
Heading home from class today saw that the thunderstorm we had this morning and the warm temperatures had caused a Lot of fog on the Severn river here in Maryland. I rushed home, grabbed the camera, and headed back out to a spot under the bridge to the Naval Academy.
Here is one in color which shows the fog really well..

And here is a B&W...my first B&W photo...I typically only do color...but this just seemed right.
Canon 7D

Canon 10-22mm
Sony Alpha A300

I think that this large a FOV really lets the impact of the fog/bridge dissipate

Agree about the crop to the first, but I think the second is a much better image. It has a nice balance among rocks, water and sky, with the bridge and fog tying them together. The B&W also suits the mood.

Picture #2 is my favorite. Nice composition, as you simplified the number of elements in the photo. The fog and bridge now are the major players. The B&W adds so much to the over all ambiance of the photo.

Your eye/brain is the difference between
a photograph and a picture, not the camera.
