    A walk in the woods

Took a couple shots on another cloudy day. Attempted B&W conversions which I am not too good at. What do you think?

I quite like the lines in 1 but all three of your b+w conversions could do with a bit of a contrast boost.
The close-up on the pine cones (is that the word? I am too lazy to look it up right now) is also quite nice but could "pop" more with some more play with the levels.

Thanks for the comments and thanks for the tips LaFoto. I have only ever done a couple b&w conversions. I was trying some channel mixer recipes that were supposed to mimic coloured filters. I don't think they are too accurate though, the recipe that is supposed to be for a green filter, doesn't even make green leaves lighter, how can that be right?
