Yes, that is one fantastic lens and the one reason I envy you Canon macro shooters. If I was a Canon shooter I would definitely have that lens.

I shoot both a Canon and a Nikon (look in the signature) when I'm out-and-about looking for bugs

Ive just started shooting Macro with the D7000 and a Sigma 28-300mm, a reverse ring and a 2X teleconverter. It gets from less than an inch to more than 3 feet away from the subject.

But that lens is so worth it compared to what you have to rig up on the Nikon to get the same magnification...

I like the first one best. Very nice, but initial impression is that it needs more lighting or something brighter in the background.
Then again, I'm a complete newbie (I don't even own a DSLR yet), so take it for what it's worth.
