    You posted wile I was editing the explination in, but No, it was a result of the film grain compaired to the crop and sharpening.

    But, thanks, I remember I had hell trying to compose that one, my biggest tripod at it's full leg extention was just short enough to the point the roof was in the way. Not wanting to extend the neak ot the tripod with a 400mm lens on it, I had to keep backing up and praying that he did not move on before I could get the shot.
