    Gaze of the Butterfly

A while ago I got a great close up shot of a butterfly's head and never thought I would get another chance to get so close to these flightly creatures - yet today I got that chance again. Though I have not got the lowkey background to this one, I have managed to get a great closeup of his head.
Taken with Canon 400D, sigma 150mm, 1.4 teleconverter, speedlite 580M2 and softbox

    F14, ISO 200, 1/200sec

    *bump with a dragon*

he was sitting higher than me on a stem - only got time for one shot before he flew off - came out a great low key as well

    Great captures.
    Lovely details on the butterfly.
Like the capture of the dragonfly aswell...the dark background makes the dragonfly stand out.
    Welld one.
