    Turkey Vulture

Taken with Vivitar 400mm on Canon EF, ASA 400 (Captive Subject)

    Bigger Here

During the entire time he was out he kept ducking his head like he was going to deficate. Despite never having seen a turkey vulture take a shit, given what I know of raptors and that element of nature I assume that could have been messy as the peremeter cables where only a couple feet away, Had he actually needed to deficate some viewers would have ended up with an unsightly mess on their pants and shoes.

Thanks, The BG is actually nothing special, just a good angle on the bird, it's grass.

As for the beak...I was metering for the feathers, A slightly overexposed beak is a small price to pay for the shot.
