    Mongoose and a kat

First up a Yellow Mongoose who was happy enough to pose and stare at me (I think he was staring at the softbox - everyone else seemed to be)

All taken in Marwell zoo with Canon 400D, canon 70-200mm f2.8 IS and 1.4 teleconverter

    ISO 400, 1/125sec aperture missing ?

    f5.6, ISO 400, 1/125sec

    And a Meerkat

    f5.6, ISO 400, 1/100sec

Great set, the look on the mongoose's face is priceless.

Oh and the aperture on #1 is f/5.6

those are just really great. i have question on the last one. did you center the meerkat when you were taking the picture and later crop it or is that just how you took the picture?

Thanks for the compliments all - and for the aperture data Kegger - no idea why windows won't show it to me in properties.

Flower Child - they are all uncropped shots - the meerkat I had to shoot with manual focus - luckly he was on watch duty and so not moving off his spot = just turning his head this way and that, so I had to wait for the head and then shoot.

That mongoose is not only looking ("staring" you call it) at you, it is SMILING. I can see his smile!!

    Very good one.
You are becoming better and better, I must say!
Is that from the classes you've been taking at LP's?
