More of my bird shots.
Shot out of my bedroom window through the window on a snowy day (not at the time these were taken, but very overcast.)

The 70-300 is not at its sharpest at 5.6. Try boosting the ISO, should be no problem on the D-90. Shoot at a lower shutter speed also, since the birds are not moving fast. Murray
